June Gathering Details
Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2025
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 pm (<– Note: we are meeting a half hour later than we have been to make it easier for folks to get off work and join us!)
Location: Meet at Churchbowl Picnic Area
What to Expect:
Bring (as always):
- Something to write with and on. I’ll try to have some extra stuff if you forget, but a bit of printer paper and a pen or pencil is just fine! The goal here is to slow down and observe, wonder, and record our insights and questions on paper.
- If you have them, watercolors, colored pencils, and other art supplies are also fun to experiment with, but not necessary.
- Layers to be ready for whatever the weather is going to throw at us.
- Your Curiosity and Wonder. Churchbowl Picnic Area looks across the Ahwahnee Meadow at Half Dome, and provides access to relatively quiet sections of the Valley Loop Trail either toward The Ahwahnee or up and over the small hill toward the lower Yosemite Falls trail loop.
Getting There:
We are hoping that the small parking lot right in front of the Churchbowl will be emptying out by this time of day, making it easy and convenient to park right in front of our meeting space. But if that parking is full, it’s only a short walk/bike ride from the Yosemite Village parking areas. There are several picnic tables here, so look for us there.
